Troma Now

Tired of looking thru Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ for movies such as THE TOXIC AVENGER, SGT. KABUKIMAN NYPD, and POULTRYGIEST, and coming up empty handed? Do you crave truly independent cinema and shorts that the mainstream conglomerates refuse to platform and fund?

Well look no more! Lloyd Kaufman, president of Troma Studios and creator of THE TOXIC AVENGER have heard your cries for help. Earlier this year, Troma launched the new streaming service, Troma Now, to Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Google Play; and starting this month Troma Now is finally available as a channel on your favorite ROKU device.

For only $4.99 per month, you get access to all the top Troma films of yesterday, plus all the new content by creators that just want to show their art. New content is dropped on a monthly basis. From short films, feature length films, trailers, and cartoons, you will never get tired of searching thru the entire Troma catalog for some mindless horror, comedy, and nudity all wrapped up in one convenient streaming service. Oh, and did I mention the first month is free to try?

Being a fan of Troma, I purchased the service as soon as it was announced that the channel finally made it to Roku on the 4th of July weekend. At only two weeks into the channel, I am still finding movies and features I have never seen before, and some that I thought were lost forever into the void.

Whole seasons of shows are also available through the service, such as every episode of TROMA’S EDGE TV, that aired in the late 90s, to episodes of new shows such as LOWER SPIRITS, a reality tv parody comedy show about a paranormal investigator and a priest investigating ghosts, demons and cryptids.

Troma Now breaks the service down into easy-to-find categories. If you are looking for horror, comedy, sci-fi, or even family friendly or naughty categories, it’s all available for you to browse. I prefer clicking on the ENTIRE LIBRARY tab and just going thru the hundreds and hundreds of offerings, finding the most obscure, off-the-wall and just plain bizarre things I can find. Half the fun is stumbling across films such as THE KILLER PINATA – seriously, there is a movie about a donkey piñata that comes to life and exacts revenge on the party goers who beat his fellow party favor friends open!

If you are a Troma fan, horror fan, or just a fan of independent cinema, then this streaming service is a must. You will get hours of enjoyment watching “B” to “E” list movies and shorts that you will find on no other streaming service today.

You can find Troma Now on your Apple TV, Google Play, Amazon Fire -- and now on Roku starting this month for only $4.99 -- and your first month is absolutely free!
