Commentary: Looks like the DCAU gets some representation in the multiverse!  This seems to be the only "non-comics" universe that is part of the new 52 (though the Justice Lords' universe is also represented).  I am not surprised that they set it during the Batman Beyond timeframe, DC has been trying to get that series to work for years now.  I am a huge fan, so I am very happy they are counting it as canon.
