Lucifer All About Her

Ever since the beginning of this season, when Lucifer (TOM ELLIS) awoke in the desert to find his wings had grown back, he's been raising Cain about it.

But Cain says he had nothing to do with it.

That's right, the literal biblical Cain, the world's first murderer, is immortal because of the mark God placed upon him that no man could touch him. You might recognize him by his current identity, Lt. Marcus Pierce (TOM WELLING). Yes, he did arrange for Lucifer to be kidnapped and dragged away to the desert, but only to get him out of the way so that Cain could get close to Chloe (LAUREN GERMAN) to achieve his ultimate goal: to die.

Which means God gave Lucifer his wings back to interfere in Cain's plan, and they've both been pawns of the Almighty.

Chloe is still angry at Lucifer for having kidnapped the Sinnerman while she was trying to help him, unaware of the celestial mystery playing out under her nose. And Lucifer, self-serving as ever, is wanting her assistance to investigate Cain. But she's having none of it, and doesn't want to talk with him right now. On advice from his therapist, Linda Martin (RACHAEL HARRIS), he decides to make things all about Chloe for a while, so that in return things can be all about him again.

However, he may actually have a bit of character growth come about from this. Because even after he doesn't need her help, he continues trying to make things easier for her on their current case involving a murdered surfer. When she learns that he's helping because the case is important to her and that he needs nothing from her, it ameliorates her feelings a bit -- just a bit.

In other news, the angel Amenadiel (DB WOODSIDE) gets diagnosed with chlamydia. But that's not nearly the threat to his and Linda's budding relationship that Mazikeen (LESLEY-ANN BRANDT) is when she discovers they are together. And Ella Lopez (AIMEE GARCIA) tries to reinvent herself into someone more assertive after having been yelled at by Lt. Pierce, forcing Charlotte (TRICIA HELFER) to intervene on her behalf.
