In the early hours of the morning the official twitter account, for Marvel's IRON FIST on Netflix, awoke after a 3 month hiatus.
Starring Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) as Danny Rand, the show follows the story of a young man who is "bestowed with incredible martial arts skills and a mystical force known as the Iron Fist."

Back in July, during the SDCC, a 50 second trailer was released which provided a little footage.
This series appears to be taking up quite a bit of Netflix's production time. Perhaps the special effects required for this show is causing some of the delay. The other Defenders (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil) seemed to have their shows pushed through production at a much faster rate.
IMDb has a brief synopsis available for the first episode which, if you're already a fan of the character, shouldn't come as a surprise:
Danny Rand and his family climb up a snowy mountain looking for the ancient city of Kun Lun.
LUKE CAGE was just released on Netflix and now we're a little over 5 months away from seeing IRON FIST. With season 3 of Daredevil being pushed out to 2018 (to film THE DEFENDERS) it seems the releases could benefit from a more balanced schedule. Netflix has 5 Marvel series, you would think they'd try to give us one every 3 months or so to keep viewers locked in. While I doubt the unbalanced schedule won't stop people from tuning in, but it's a wasted opportunity to keep the hype-train running full steam ahead.
