What is your interest in cosplay?

I've always loved making things and challenging myself to work with new materials. Cosplay combines all my interests and lets me express my passion for comics, movies and costumes.

How did you get into cosplay, and what was your first cosplay experience?

I wore my first cosplay at my first convention in 2009 at San Diego Comic Con. I dressed up as the Baroness from the 80s GI Joe cartoon, and it was absolutely life changing!

How has your cosplay evolved since you began?

I've learned how to sew, build armour, and have honed my painting techniques over the years. I've also had the pleasure of working with some amazing photographers and have definitely upped my modeling game in the last few years.

What is your "secret identity" outside of cosplaying?

I would tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. ;)

What kind of social or charity activities do you get involved in with your cosplay?

I love going to conventions and charity fundraisers in cosplay. I miss these events terribly since they've been cancelled this year due to COVID-19.

Do you make as much of your own costume as possible or rely on purchased materials -- and is that important overall to cosplaying?

I try to make as much as I can, but sometimes I buy pieces depending on time and budget. For me, buying vs. making cosplays is about balancing deadlines, cost, and effort. I don't stress about it as long as I'm having fun. :)

What's your favorite cosplay, your "go to" look that you just love to put on and act out?

The Baroness and Red Sonja.

Where can people go to find you online?
