Saban has announced the debut date of Power Rangers Dino Super Charge along with some information on what the future holds for the franchise.
Dino Super Charge will be returning January 30 on Nickelodeon. Saban is saying that Dino Super Charge will feature the biggest team of Power Rangers yet with ten active Rangers. We have already met the Red, Blue, Pink, Black, Green, Gold, Graphite and Purple Rangers. And last season we found out that there was someone out there who had bonded to the Aqua Energem. Can't wait to see who the Aqua Ranger is and who our mysterious tenth Ranger is too.
For more on Dino Charge, please check out my earlier "Critical Depth" columns.
Also, Nickelodeon released the following description of Power Rangers Season 24, which is called Power Rangers: Ninja Steel:
Saban’s Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal. The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction.

Honestly, I was kind of hoping for a third season of Dino Charge. As I said in my Critical Depth columns, I am not usually a fan of Power Rangers, but Dino Charge really caught my attention. When I first read the description for Ninja Steel, it sounds real odd. Actually, it sounds more like a parody of a Japanese TV show than an actual show. I am sure that my kids will watch it anyway, but just from the initial description, it doesn't really jump out at me.
By the way, this is what the characters look like in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, which is what this season will be based on:
