From Hollywood Reporter:

Captain Marvel is going to be a blast from the past in more ways than one. The '90s-set film will not only see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) back, but also a number of familiar faces, Marvel Studios revealed Monday.

Perhaps most noteworthy will be the return of Clark Gregg's Agent Phil Coulson, who was the glue of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's early films, popping up for small roles in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers — where the character died (only to be revived to headline ABC's Agents of SHIELD). He has not appeared in a MCU film since.

Marvel also revealed Monday that two Guardians of the Galaxy actors will be reprising their roles from the 2014 film. Lee Pace once again will play Ronan the Accuser

...

Djimon Hounsou will once again play Korath the Pursuer

Commentary: Clark Gregg is awesome as Agent Coulson. I had actually given up on AGENTS OF SHIELD early in season 3.  I've been hoping he would be popping back up in the movies again.  It's also cool to see Ronan and Korath back.

As much as I typically love the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I am taking a wait and see approach for the upcoming CAPTAIN MARVEL movie.  Carol Danvers can be a bit hit or miss at times in the comics, and I actually am a long time fan of Marvel's original Captain Marvel.  It's great that we are finally getting a Marvel movie with a female lead, BUT, I still would have loved to have gotten to see Mar-Vell head up his own movie.

CAPTAIN MARVEL will be coming out on March 6, 2019.
