Was flipping through Twitter and came across this:
Thanks to my awesome mother, I was raised on horror movies and Stephen King books! Of all the amazing 80's horror movies, HALLOWEEN was always my favorite. Just something about that mask, that slow lumber, that memorable music... HALLOWEEN has always been a big part of my life in the strangest ways.
When I was 18, I was watching it late one night, when there was a knocking on the window. So I did what any brave 18-year old man would do...yelled for my mother. I am not particularly proud of that moment..
Also, I somehow managed to drag my sister (she was probably 14 or 15 at the time) to the theater to see HALLOWEEN H20. She's not a particularly big horror movie fan (she actually watched THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT hiding behind the seats at a theater), but she still went along. During this movie, some kids next to her were getting on her nerves...so she proceeded to grab the kid's shoe and hurl it across the theater. She then just glared at him, waiting for him to say something...instead he and his friends just left very quickly.
ANYWAY, The whole point of this is that I love the HALLOWEEN movies, and they are pretty important to me for a variety of reasons, reasonable and silly. Part of me wants to say, "Ick, another franchise pulled from the grave", but I actually got a huge smile when I saw this image. Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Myers, one last time. Count me in! Wonder if I can drag my mom and sister along...
